Nana’s Sugar Cookies
  • ½  cup butter or margarine
  • tablespoon sweet cream
  • 1 egg
  • 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/3 teaspoon salt

Procedure:

1.     Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2.     Mix together butter, cream, egg and vanilla.
3.     Add sugar, flour, baking powder and salt.
4.     Roll the dough on a floured surface.  Cut with floured cookie cutter.
5.     Place cookies on a greased baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
6.     When cookies are cooled, frost if desired.
