Layered Salad

Ingredients:


  • 4 cups Iceberg lettuce, shredded
  • 1 bag of (8 ounce) baby spinach
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups carrots, shredded
  • 3/4 c. green bell pepper chopped fine
  • 1 bunch of green onions, chopped
  • 1 (16 ounce) crisp bacon - cooked and chopped
  • 1 cup plum tomatoes, chopped
  • 8 ounces cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 bag (10 oz) Frozen Peas, Partially thawed

Dressing:


  • 1/2 cup (Real) mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped

Directions:


1. In a 6 quart clear glass bowl, layer lettuce, spinach, carrots, bell pepper, green onions, bacon, tomatoes, cheese and peas.

2. In small bowl, mix mayo, sour cream and sugar. Spread over top of salad.

3. Sprinkle with parsley. Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate up to 8 hours.

4. If desired toss before serving.
