Country Fried Venison Steak
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds venison steak, ½ inch thick
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 quart milk
- salt and pepper to taste
- ¾ cup flour
- vegetable oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- hot cooked rice
Procedure:
Sprinkle steak with Worcestershire sauce. Place meat in shallow container and pour milk over meat. Refrigerate for 2 hours. Remove meat from milk. Salt and pepper meat; dredge in ¾ cup flour. Fry venison until brown on both sides and remove from skillet. Add onion and sauté until tender. Stir in 2 tablespoons flour and cook until flour is lightly brown. Add milk and stir until smooth. Add soup, stirring well. Add meat and cook 1 hour, low heat. Water may be added. Serve over rice.
