 Gary Weiss, CPCU — First Vice President
Gary Weiss came to Germania in 1982 following a professional career with the Los Angeles Dodgers 1978 through 1981. His skills and knowledge encompass a wide array of positions held throughout his first 18 years at Germania which include: property claims adjuster, senior underwriter, regional director in Underwriting and director of Pricing and Business Analysis. He served as assistant vice president of Pricing and Business Analysis for nine years and was then elected as second vice president in 2009. In July 2011, he was appointed first vice president. Gary currently oversees the Underwriting, Product Management and Marketing/Training departments.
Gary graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and holds a Chartered Property Underwriter designation. He serves as vice president of the Texas Association of Mutual Insurance Companies and director of the Washington County Economic Development Foundation.
